The Happening

What happened here?!

I was never a fan of M. Night Shyamalan; his The Sixth Sense was my only favorite.

The film has commendable cinematography and musical score – Wahlberg’s quite good. It somehow managed to attack audience with fear and excitement. However, the story was absurd.

I guess I will never be a fan of Shyamalan. Crap.

Kung Fu Panda

Genre:	Animation

One of the best animations I’ve ever seen. It has a unique story that lets your inner Kung Fu desire to burst out of nowhere. This one’s definitely not for children only.

I don’t like the theme song though (Kung Fu Fighting by Sam Concepcion), it irritates my ears!

Nevertheless, it was hilariously entertaining!

Bavarian o Varian?

Disclaimer: This blog entry is intended to be mushy, my own share of kilig moment.

This happened last night (June 29, 2008), while I was doing my everyday online stint. I was having a text message conversation with someone, and these were the highlights:

SOMEONE:
Ah Varian pala real name mo.. parang Bavarian.. LOL!

AKO:
Yup, pero mas matamis at mas masarap ako kesa sa Bavarian.. Hehe..

SOMEONE:
At bakit mo naman nasabi yun? Kahit sa Krispy Kreme?

AKO:
Nasabi ko yun kasi tao ako, marunong makaramdam at marunong magmahal. Kaya kahit na Gonuts or Krispy pa yan - donut lang yan. Ako tao - mas matamis, mas masarap.

Kinikilig pa rin ako..
Wahahahahaha!

Mae Flores: CRY (A Tribute)

Mae Flores, the recent Idol hopeful who was voted out last June 29 eliminations, has already been singing a couple of years back. If one would remember, she was the then Angelie Mae Flores, one of the grand finalists of the first and only Star For A Night in IBC 13, where Sarah Geronimo emerged as the champion and Mark Bautista as the runner-up. During the grand finals, she was contestant number eight and performed the smash hit Cry by Mandy Moore.

The said show has produced promising artists then, but unfrotunately, they were not given a good break in the entertainment business. The first and only Philippine Idol Mau Marcelo was also a grand finalist in Star For A Night, she sang Better Days as contestant number one; while Born Diva's (ABS-CBN) Raki Vega was actually Florie Mae Lucido who was contestant number seven and sang Ngayon.

Recently, Mae tried again her luck in show business. The ride went well, making her emerge as one of the Top 24 and a part of the coveted Final 12 of Pinoy Idol by GMA7. She has been inconsistently good, but showed a lot of improvement and star potential. However, she has been one of the few hopefuls who were weak in terms of votes, and just this sunday, she was the one sent home.

As a tribute, I offer this blog to Mae.
You have come a long way in reaching your dreams, so don't just stop there - you have the makings of a true star.
