So it’s the 15th day of January today [well yesterday technically since it’s already past 12MN] and I received my job salary earlier. Payday. With that regard, I should be happy – but I was not.
Just last December 2008, amidst the cold winds of the Christmas season and the lurking vacation, I felt like I’m not already feeling my job. But I’m not gonna rant about that here for that’s another story – maybe next time. So and so, I have committed 3 absences. And as this month started, I’ve had one absence due to sudden illness(?). If I’m Mathematically correct, I’ve had 4 absences, right?
Here’s the thing: last month’s second cut-off [or whatever you call it], they paid us with no deduction. So I was happy, I thought my 3 absences were ignored. But the horror of that was felt earlier upon checking my ATM account; I only received almost ¼ of my total salary every month! Oh I won't mention the amount anymore because it's way too embarrassing. It appears that the deduction has taken effect on this month’s first cut-off, plus that one absence I’ve had. So goodbye shopping for me as of now – and hello reality. Damn.
The only thing I regret though is that this coming January 25th is my mother’s birthday and my plan of surprising her with gifts are now ruined. I’ll just do it maybe next month, oh well.
