Who should be the first Pinoy Sole Survivor?

Spoilers about JC Tiuseco winning the first title of Pinoy Sole Survivor erupted a couple of months ago in the world wide web. Apparently, the alleged winner is yet to be proven since the finale of the first season of Survivor Philippines will be shown live(?) tomorrow.

Unlike the disaster Pinoy Idol, Survivor Philippines has set a mark on Philippine primetime TV viewing by winning the weekly ratings every night - welcome back the glory days of Paolo Bediones and Extra Challenge. Execution-wise, well done; consistency, a bit off. Though all in all, the show's indeed a success.

Now that only two castaways remain and the title will be announced to whom by tomorrow, I shall say my final piece:

I go for JC Tiuseco. I need not to elaborate. JC is my Pinoy Sole Survivor.

Knockout! [American Idol Finale rants..]

DISCLAIMER: Oh yes, I know.. Another post about David Cook as the winner of American Idol. Sorry, but I can't help it! I still feel the excitement and joy of his win till now! Plus the facts that my Idol Curse was broken and my bet - for the first time - bags the title! =p




Last night, I was really devastated when Simon Cowell predicted and announced that the 3 rounds of fight between Archuleta and Cook have come to an end – with the title upon Archuleta’s hands. As a matter of fact, I wasn’t able to sleep that well because my mind kept thinking and my heart kept thumping on who would win today (tonight sa U.S.) – I’m not exaggerating, that’s true, and I’m really glad Cook triumphed over Archuleta.

The opening production number of the Top 12 awoke me of my senses earlier – it was just so damn flawless! The addition of the So You Think You Can Dance Top 12 made it even more brilliant! On the other performances, I was like..

Syesha and Seal was not impressive, I just did not see any chemistry at all, plus the pitchy notes hanging on their song. Jason flunked his second attempt on Hallelujah, his performance during Top 24 was way better.

 

On the contrary, Carly and Michael were truly awesome! They belted their lungs out – proving that their being eliminated on the show was really the most shocking this season. Brooke sounded as if it was her own song, have recorded it, and made it a hit. She just sang it perfectly.

 

But the hell.. why did Kristy and Ramiele did not have any solo performance?! They are part of the selected interesting contestants this season, so why the heck give Reynaldo Lapuz airtime rather than this two fascinating ladies? Reynaldo’s appearance on the finale was quite entertaining, but it got cheesier and cheesier as his grace on the stage passed every second.

 

The performance of the Top 6 girls were ok with Donna Summer; the Top 6 guys’ performance with Bryan Adams was short. The Top 12 with George Michael was indeed phenomenal. Archuleta with One Republic was the bomb! Cook on the other hand did great, but who was with him? I really can’t remember.

 

The comeback on the Idol stage of Jordin Sparks and Carrie Underwood was awesome. They both looked great and sounded exceptional. But I still think Jordin should lose some pounds though.

 

All in all, THIS WAS THE BEST FINALE YET AFTER SEASON 3 – between Fantasia and Diana.

Oh yes, my own share of the AI Finale phenom..

My predictions have been true, for the two remaining Davids of this season will battle their lungs out this coming May 21^st.

I was actually anxious to know who will be the Final 2 this year because of the fact – a curse I call it – that my favorite every season [starting AI Season 3] goes all the way up to Final 3, then.. OUT! Creepy huh?!

Well, I’m glad that this time, my Idol Curse was broken.
