Okay, the judges - and me - were wrong with the prediction for the final 2 this season (Gokey-Lambert for the finale.). Again, my Idol curse is back. WTF. However, I'm still hoping that the final bout would be as wonderful as last year's.


So, who's your bet this time?


Is it the charming, soft-spoken, underrated talent of Kris Allen? Or the predictable, screeching, overrated mad vocal skills of Adam Lambert? If you ask me, well... just listen intently to the music playing on this page.

Gokey gone; Allen–Lambert on finale

Danny Gokey was an early favorite on this year’s Idol competition. Loved by the judges and America through his master class vocal skills and humble story, Gokey has been considered as one of the best ever to join the show and was one of this season’s front-runners. Since day one, he managed to showcase his husky, sexy range and swagger and has produced one of the best (if not the best) and worst performances in the entire contest; his Dream On rendition is still making the buzz. Though he has never been in the bottom group, Danny only finished third and was voted out tonight.After over 88 million votes, America decided that Kris Allen and Adam Lambert will battle it out on the finale next week. Kris Allen, the soft-spoken, charming lad from Arkansas is expected to sing his heart – and lungs – out to nail the competition and in order to beat the ever-surprising and screeching vocal prowess of Adam Lambert from San Diego. Idol declares who will win this year’s crown next week on its two-part season finale.

Allison’s axed

Dubbed by Simon Cowell as the last hope of the girls for this season, 17 year old Allison Iraheta leaves the Idol stage tonight. Iraheta was the last girl standing in the competition because of her incredible vocal ability and authenticity. Though her artistry shines whenever she graces the stage, the judges seem to find that she lacks personality and drive and that somehow has lead her on being in the bottom group for a couple of weeks. This true-blooded rocker has finished fourth in this year’s competition.

Matt’s rollercoaster is over

Considered as the hopeful with the most rollercoaster-like journey ever in the Idol competition, Matt Giraud was finally sent home. After gracing the stage with his rendition of My Funny Valentine on yesterday’s Rat Pack themed night, the four judges were in duets for their criticisms – having Simon Cowell on his side. However, even the praise coming from Cowell didn’t save Giraud this time as America decided to finally send him home.

Idol’s double elimination drama

Since the judges saved Matt Giraud from going home last week, two hopefuls were sent home on tonight’s result show, having a record of 45 million votes.

Lil Rounds, who has been considered as one of the front-runners of this season, was axed first. For some weeks the judges have been pointing out her fading sense of artistry and individuality, but this outspoken mom never failed to answer back in her most sincere manner. Her big voice wasn’t enough to prove her worth of winning the coveted title.













One of the most surprisingly talented hopefuls on this pack was Anoop Desai, who managed to crush Sanjaya’s lackluster ability to pull off a show. However, this young man was the second one sent home tonight. His inconsistency when it comes to right song choice and performance has landed him on the bottom group for quite some time – and now he’s gone.

Good news for Giraud

The coveted save from the four judges has been made history through Matt Giraud. It’s an Idol first since the show began 8 years ago, but this good news has a tricky twist for the coming week because 2 shall go home.

Giraud has been a constant favorite since his audition days, but has been having rough weeks for proclaiming himself as a true-blood rock star rather than what the judges think he is as an artist. Having a vocal ability that is a cross-over between R&B and Jazz, this young lad captivated millions and is surely one threat in this competition

The journey is over for Scott

Visually impaired Scott MacIntyre’s Idol journey is indeed one of the most heart-warming in the show’s history – a proof that talent surpasses everything. An early favorite, MacIntyre wowed the judges and America through his passionate and honest delivery of performing alongside the piano, but this week’s surprise electric guitar ensemble didn’t put him through to the Top 7. The judges had a hard time on whether he should be saved or not, and in the end, Simon Cowell announced that his journey is indeed over.

Megan flies home

After blurting out “I love you, but I don’t care” to Simon Cowell regarding the latter’s comment last night, Megan Joy was the one sent home by America. The judges didn’t even discuss on saving her for her ridiculous comment. Clearly, she has been one of the most current and relevant competitors this season and one of the few unique ones in Idol history respectively, but her song choices over the past weeks made her mediocre and less Idol-like. On the positive note, she never stopped injecting her personality and taste on each of her performances, so this early favorite soared up to the Top 9.

Sarver not saved

Over 36 million votes came in last night for American Idol’s Motown week, a record-breaking moment for the show as its most received votes for a Top 10. But of course, someone has to leave – or be saved – and this time it was Michael Sarver. Sarver has been a favorite since his audition days for his talent and sense of living with his family. Though he started very strong, the competition became tougher each week; last week he was in the bottom 3 and was safe, but tonight he had the lowest number of votes and wasn’t saved by the judges either.

Alexis gracefully(?) left the Idol stage

Quite contradictory to her second name, Alexis Grace didn’t showcase any gracefulness about her talent when the Top 13 started on the biggest Idol stage ever. She started so strong that even the slightest brink of pink hair was indeed flawless for her renewed package over the semi-finals. Her innocent looks matched with unbelievable talent impressed the four judges early on, but asked her to be naughty at times – so there she was: she took the advice, nailed her first performance during the semis and pierced through as the first female on the Top 13. Unfortunately though, Alexis struggled not only on picking the right song choice but also on her singing, and so tonight, she was the one voted off by America; and even her so-so encore of Jolene didn’t manage to impress the judges that much, so she wasn’t saved.

American Idol says goodbye to Jasmine and Jorge; reveals twist

And so there goes the charming wild card and soulful Puerto Rican.

The four American Idol judges always had a soft spot for the 20 year old Jorge Nunez; yes, including Cowell. Since his audition days and the Hollywood week, Nunez proved to be one of the few interesting yet serious competitors of season 8. During the Top 13’s first night, with the help of King of Pop Michael Jackson’s songbook as the gala’s theme, Nunez was lambasted for the first time by the judges particularly by Cowell for his rendition of Never Can Say Goodbye.

Meanwhile, 16 year old Jasmine Murray almost didn’t make it into the Top 13, but thanks to her commercial appeal, the judges picked her on the Wild Card night. Seen by the judges as one of the most current contestants this year with the likes of Rihanna, Murray won their hearts during her first audition as well. Her attempt of the Michael Jackson and Mariah Carey hit I’ll Be There seemed quite okay, but the judges felt no spark about it.

During the first results show, both Jasmine Murray and Jorge Nunez were sent home – and the shocking twist was revealed.

This season, the judges will have the power to save one contestant from being eliminated and that will only happen if the four unanimously agrees. In that case, no contestant will be eliminated for that particular week, but two will be sent home by the following week's results night. This twist may take effect until the top five is selected.

I am so sad on what happened but not
because of the people's decision but
what the staff told us.

Please do not send me messages until i
finish my statement.

I am still here in California, by the
way please vote for David Cook to be
the 7th American Idol, I know he will,
let's pray for him, inspirational
songs for next week, and I chose heal
our land but I can not sing that
anymore.

There are news from people here in USA
who were mad, cause they were dialling
my number but instead of thank you for
voting ramiele, it was thank you for
voting others name.

Technical problem. This problem is the
same as on the case of Chris Daughtry
you know every week we have theme, and
they told that few weeks before that
week.

They gave us list of songs and we
choose our song, but sometimes you can
hear from some staffs, "Oh it's not
for you try to sing fast songs" and
they called me lullaby instead of
malubay.

The staff also arranged the songs and
most of the times judges didn't like
it, and they told us about the
blocking like when i performed "In My
Life" Simon didn't like the stair
drama.

In the case of Brooke, they told
Brooke not to use guitar but she
insisted it and she had a wonderful
job.

Now they are making news about David
Cook that he is bad boy cause he was
mad to some people here in our
apartment because of some noise, they
do that because kuya David makes his
own arrangement.

The pilot episode's rating was lower
than season 6, and they make some
noise, and they won.

What noise? The stripper issue, the
racy photos which are not, the my
space video, the album of carly ,
etc...

Josiah Lemming was mad sa american
idol cause we know he deserves to be
on top 6, cause they pick those who
would make noise,

David Archuleta won star search,
Alexandrian and David made a noise
cause they were co semi finalist in
that said show, Syesha was the one in
the US version of star academy.

Few hours after the result's night I
made a blog that tells everything I
know but it was being cancelled like
what happened on my myspace where Mr.
Damian grass of associated press used
my blog for those racy photos.

If you can help me please put on your
blog all the things that I said. Chris
of American Idol 5 was disappointed
cause of the technical problem, and
look what happened to Taylor hicks and
Chris. That's why AI showed some clips
about post idol life.

Good thing is there are offers, I'll
be there in Philippines for pinoy
idol, and hopefully in ABS-CBN with a
pinoy who won sa isang reality show sa
Europe, I think he will be
in "Altagracia" with KC (Concepcion)
and John Lloyd.
