Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

No, this is not your ordinary type of revenge—it’s revenge personified, or should I say, robotized.

Megan Fox was scorching hot than ever, while Shia displayed a very disgusting and a very disturbing possessed state. Yes, comic relief was then again served in this sequel, but it somehow crossed the line.

The tandem of Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg is still unstoppable. Though some parts had obvious visual effects, it can still brag that this movie is the new face of sci-fi films in this era. Musical score was a bit superhero-like oftentimes. Bay’s signature light/sunburst effect (whatever you may call it) was lessened here as the story attempted to jump from less drama to more comedy, to somehow balance the whole film.

Was it worth it? Yes. Did it surpass its prequel? I don’t think so. But the depth of the story is one thing moviegoers shouldn’t miss here—and yes, they better believe that there’s still more than meets the eye.

Hellboy II: The Golden Army

No, this is not a new MIB movie. Creepy, disgusting creatures (if you may call it..) were seen lurking everywhere throughout the movie – but what the heck? Two thumbs-up for that.

Packed with lots of superb visual effects and musical score, you just can’t help but smile while watching this second installment of Hellboy. Acting-wise, I really can’t tell; but prosthetics were still excellent!

The vision and story was clear, it emphasized again the value of being human – why we have holes in our hearts. Imperfection is normal; everyone and everything has weakness – no one’s “industrible”.

Diablo 3: Hell re-opens; Heavens shall tremble again!

Two decades have passed since the demonic lords, Diablo, Mephisto, and Baal, set out across the world of Sanctuary on a vicious rampage, twisting humanity to their unholy will. Yet for those who battled the Prime Evils, the memory fades slowly.

When Deckard Cain returns to the ruins of Tristram Cathedral seeking clues to defeat new stirrings of evil, a fiery harbinger of doom falls from the heavens, striking the very ground where Diablo once entered the world. This fire from the sky reawakens ancient evils and calls the heroes of Sanctuary to defend the mortal world against the rising powers of the Burning Hells once again.

Finally! My long wait is over! I have been a fan of Diablo, Diablo 2, and Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction! It's been ages since I last played my favorite Sorceress and Assassin characters - now that the third installment of this game is set to be released, my thirst for magic was reawakened! Though I'm surprised that there are only 2 character classes on this game; one's a Witch Doctor and for the other, they retained the Barbarian. But what the hell! I'm still gonna play this! I'll go for Witch Doctor I guess - I'm more of the elemental type. I really can't wait til this one's finally released!

Hell breaks loose once again, and the Light shall be with me to protect Heaven and Earth from corruption.

This was one of my many absurd entries on my high school journal – and yes, it was dedicated to Britney. What the heck? I loved her – and still love her up to now! On the week when I accidentally found this journal, and upon reading its contents, I remembered this one; I chuckled silently in our living room. Then when I went online, I checked the site. Haha! The Dark Knight

Joker asked, “Will the real Batman please stand up?”, and so Christian Bale stood up – twice in a row! This is the best Batman movie ever!

I’m not really fond of the Batman, even its cartoon version, but I must say Christopher Nolan is one heck of a director! Batman Begins was awesomely good last 2005, but the sequel’s way better. This is official: it’s my favorite movie for this year so far.

I just don’t get why Katie Holmes didn’t play Rachel Dawes this time, but who cares? Maggie Gyllenhaal did well – but my props really goes to Heath Ledger! This is the best I’ve seen of him; at least he died after doing this incredible role, he left something really significant – he owned and crushed the Joker role. Bless his soul.

The film this time was darker and much action-packed – but Batman being a vulnerable man behind the mask still lingered, and that’s cool; the Batman’s really worthy to be The Dark Knight – that’s no chance at all, that’s a fact. And yes Joker, I'm serious.
