THOUGHTS:
I was SHOCKED with the First Elimination Night of Pinoy Idol! My God! IT WAS MESSY! From the opening number up to the farewell song of the 4 eliminated hopefuls. I didn't get it, why not just follow the flow of American Idol elimination? It was so freaking fast that you cannot even feel a single tinge of tension while watching it! CRAP!

Bev and Drizzle were among the strongest contenders for me - how sad they were the first 2 girls to be voted out. Elliot did quite good - and he seems to have a full package - but I guess the country didn't like what he did. I pity Dio - the first to be called, and the first to end his Idol journey.

kahit naman ano local network feeling ko hindi talaga afford gayahin ang american idol e... producton wise a...

i don't think so... they don't have the right people. from the host to the judge to the contestants... walang patutunguhan ang show na yan...

it's not about being kapuso or kapamilya... the fact that they weren't able to give the show a good production value... maraming bansa ang nakagawa ng magandang idol version nila.

Di lang naman GMA ang nagkakaganyan sa production..

I agree..

Pero hindi lng production wise, dahil:
1.) We don't have the technology they have.
2.) Wala ng makakalampas pa sa phenomenon ng original - American Idol.

I disagree..

There are contestants who deserve the limelight there..
Wyngard and Ogie are credible enough to be judges there..
Raymond delivers well..

At uulitin ko, we don't have the kind of technology na meron ang mga ibang bansa na nag-franchise ng Idol..

i respect your opinion but the fact that GMA bought the franchise of IDOL from fremantle media, the show is subjected to give the Filipino audience a real IDOL EXPERIENCE. Listening from the judges point of view, they weren't really hitting the weaknesses of the contestants wherein these contestants can improve. Ogie is a composer but it doesn't mean that he can hone a talent... Aminin na natin walang resources ang GMA... PRODUCTION VALUE does not necessarily needs a GOOD TECHNOLOGY. UP kasi didn't thought us to depend on technology - It's all about your mind and how you use it. A good production value is researching extensively about the show, researching about your target audience, conducting a good and exact SWOT analysis, and choosing the right people. I don't wanna comment about Raymond anymore. Masakit sa ulo.

I also respect your thoughts, but then again Pinoy Idol is Pinoy Idol. Whether it has bad production value and low techonology - it's up to the audience who appreciates it. The fact that American Idol has been hyped again this year in the country makes it difficult for the show to stand on itself. It would also be difficult for us, especially those who watch American Idol, to have the same Idol experience by watching it - we're just the franchise.Yes you are right, they lack the resources - that's the main reason why Pinoy Idol has been airing like that. But in comparison with it's season 1, it has improved - even a bit. And oh, UP's not the only school who teaches students not to depend on technology. Thanks for the thoughts again.
