UBER TIME!

Been awake for more than 48 hours nownot
kidding.

I wasn’t able to post a blog last night due to
some important academic requirements which I, together with my group mates,
needed to attend to and accomplish with.

And if you are still familiar with my most
recent picture albums posted here, then your guess is right – it’s PINDOT time!

The group (half-MIDAS) actually planned to do
the overnight at Shy’s crib, since hers is a much bigger place wherein the three
of us could move here and there easily. Plus, they have 3 laptops, and that
would mean 3 functioning laptops for the 4 of us.

Unfortunately, the most important of the 3 did
not functioned – it hibernated and cracked! Good Lord!

We actually started the deed around 11:45 PM,
of course without the miss of our secret recipe: landian. At around 1:00 AM,
the laptop hibernated. We, with the utmost cheer and hope we could ever muster,
predicted that in a couple of hours it would be OK to use that laptop again [we
even did plan to go bar-hopping around BF Homes, Parañaque… but we didn’t, too
bad!
]
.

2:00 AM…

3:00 AM…

Still nothing…

We began to shake, cram… though we did not
actually panic, anxiety crept through our senses and it hit us the realization
of: 2 hours had passed, still no progress… this is due later afternoon at 4:00
PM, and we haven’t started yet… OMG…

4:00 AM

Ting!

A huge bulb light – I dialed home – we arranged
our stuffs – prepared and went to Muntinlupa, our last resort: our house.

As soon as we got there around 5:00 AM, we
started the deed – this time, with a more serious approach. And as usual, I was
the head editor; but I congratulate Shy for a job well done! She now knows the
basics on editing using Sony Vegas!

Copy, paste, cut, move, paste, cut, copy, move,
paste, cut, paste, copy, so on, so on…

We did the finishing touches at around 12:00
PM, and with a smirk on our faces, we thought that everything would turn out
quite well although the laptop got broke.

I pushed the Render As button…

On 22%, it stopped…

Render again…

18%, it stopped…

Fear and pressure arises…

Render for the 3rd time…

27%, it stopped…

This is getting into our nerves…

We rendered again for 2 more tries…

At around 3:00 PM…

Still nothing.

We slightly panicked, but came up with a bright
solution: render this 15-minuter video output into 3 .avi parts – and the
solution succeed!
On the bad side, 1 GB+ per part! Damn! HINDI KASYA SA FLASH
DISK NOR CD’S NAMIN!

Another solution: import the 3 parts unto
Windows Movie Maker and render it as a whole.
And after 25 minutes, it was
finally done. But it’s already past 4:00 PM, and that means we’re late.

Burned the movie at 32x speed on VCD format –
arranged our stuffs – started Shy’s car engine – flew to Manila from Muntinlupa!

We arrived at PLM past 5:00 PM, and the most
friendly greeting hit us 4 on our faces – the professor is not around! Bingo!
[but the professor still asked to pass our video outputs…]

Before going home, I treated myself with large
French fires, 5pc chicken nuggets, regular coke, and a 16oz strawberry
milkshake from McDonald’s.

Now, I’m off to bed – finally! After a long,
long, long over time… or uber time!
