WHAT'S THE LATEST?!

Three weeks had passed since I landed my first job; research here, write there, call everyone everywhere! Chaotic, but I still find time to pamper myself even for a while – like a simple double cheeseburger meal or strolling at malls.

In the last two weeks, I have been finding the right balance between myself and my new world, which includes being employed.

For a week now, a certain someone began the annoying “ignore game”; and a newly found someone made everything less easy but happy.

It has been days since I have been jiving again to a tune of a certain song. Working every bit of my muscle gracefully – I’ve really missed dancing.

Fast forward..

Last night, before I partied like hell, I revealed “something” to two of the truest friends in the universe. After catching up with one another for hours, I went clubbing. Yes, I will reiterate, I partied like hell. Why? Maybe because I want to get rid off my mind the very thought of having that newly found someone being with someone. I drank a bottle of beer and three glasses of iced tea – danced on the dancefloor for hours. Before the dawn cracked, I found myself dancing and talking with a new someone. As we parted ways, we exchanged numbers. Is that someone the one I have been waiting for these days? Maybe. What a night!

I went home wearing a wide, awfully looking smile. Can’t help it, my heart was jumping in joy on the very thought of what had happened hours ago. As I was staring at the window of the bus, I saw a rainbow. It was the first time I saw its whole arch. I was mesmerized. Could it be a sign? Maybe.

I slept for hours..

Now, as I am typing this very blog, I’m still wearing that awfully looking grin – hoping that maybe, maybe.. what I’m thinking and feeling now would come true.

Britney Spears, not slated to perform on VMAs 08?

LOS ANGELES - Britney Spears won't perform on this year's MTV Video Music Awards, according to her manager.

"Contrary to media reports, Britney was never slated to perform on this year's VMAs," Larry Rudolph, Spears' manager at Jive Records, said in a statement. "She's in the middle of recording her next album, which is going amazingly well, and her focus remains on the studio."

Spears' "Gimme More" comeback performance during last year's VMAs was one of the most-talked-about moments of 2007. The tabloid queen is currently appearing in spots promoting this year's ceremony.

In June, MTV Networks Music Group President Van Toffler said the network wasn't ruling out giving viewers another dose of Spears at the VMAs. MTV later confirmed they were in talks to have Spears appear in some capacity. The rebounding pop queen is nominated for video of the year for "Piece of Me."

This VMAs will air live Sept. 7 from Paramount Pictures Studios in Los Angeles. Previously announced award show performers include Kid Rock, Lil Wayne, Pink, Rihanna, Paramore, T.I. and the Jonas Brothers.

Finally! My long wait is over! I have been a fan of Diablo, Diablo 2, and Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction! It's been ages since I last played my favorite Sorceress and Assassin characters - now that the third installment of this game is set to be released, my thirst for magic was reawakened! Though I'm surprised that there are only 2 character classes on this game; one's a Witch Doctor and for the other, they retained the Barbarian. But what the hell! I'm still gonna play this! I'll go for Witch Doctor I guess - I'm more of the elemental type. I really can't wait til this one's finally released!

Hell breaks loose once again, and the Light shall be with me to protect Heaven and Earth from corruption.

Y is the twenty-fifth letter in the modern Latin alphabet. Its name in English is spelled wye or occasionally wy (pronounced /waɪ/).

The letter Y refers to anyone under the age of 25; an individual who suffers a miserable yet joyful enough life inside the box. Y denies the fact of living life according to its will, is the person closest to X, and is considered as the other. Letting go is not his game, nor giving up – his query is always “why?”.

Equation:

This is incorrect; for V was never part of X nor Y’s life.

This is correct; for V wants to be part of Y’s life.

The result was a disaster - that was evident even on the faces of the three judges right after Raymond announced who bagged the coveted title. I was happy to see and hear again the other Top 24 finalists - since most of them really deserved to be in the Final 12 and 2 of them should've been the best contenders for being the Pinoy Idol. I don't agree with the decision, but what can I do?

To the rest of the hopefuls, especially to Drizzle, Bev, Regene, Vren, Meryl, Walton, JJ - Final 12 would've been a lot exciting if you were there - just continue singing.

To Jayann and Ram, kudos! I know you'll go places with your talent.

To Robby and Penelope, you're the best among the 24, so keep your heads up and continue inspiring others with your music!

Pinoy Idol Final 3 - Final Performance Night 08/16/08

He is not the best singer in the group, nor the most exceptional performer, but Ram is my Pinoy Idol. I am basing my conclusion not on the performances tonight, but on the journey they have been through the past months. He arranges and owns every song he performs; he has been strongly consistent since day one; and he has the outstanding talent in singing.

Can we call that the Final Performance Night? I don't know. While watching, I somewhat felt watching a nonsense show that is in between SOP and Pinoy Pop Superstar Grand Finals. The net and wind effect on the opening number? My God! It's even cheaper than having mascots on stage.

So they have managed to pull off a live show? Well, it's quite impressive. But the thing is, the show is all about the battle of the remaining Idol hopefuls, yet it seemed like it was a variety show which offered a lot of guests which outshone the so-called Final 3. I'm not against any of them, but the Final 3 has to sing 3 songs which should be long enough in order for them to prove worthiness of the title! They sang 3 songs - in below 2 minutes! I think the whole show looked sandwiched! Ram, Jayann and Gretchen did not have the best opportunity tonight to prove they are the first Pinoy Idol - I can't consider it as a finale either.

The cheap opening number; the spoiled performances of the Final 3; the judges commenting only on the last part; Karylle and Rhian doing again the job of Raymond; too much guests for the performance night instead on the results show; Louie Ignacio. Who's to blame? Magic wasn't present on Pinoy Idol's finale performance night.

This is the reason why Mau Marcelo won Philippine Idol; for all the people behind Pinoy Idol, watch and learn - envy if you may:

BURBANK, CA, August 14, 2008 – Warner Bros. Pictures today announced that it has moved back the release date of “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” to Summer 2009. The sixth installment of the blockbuster Harry Potter franchise will now open day-and-date domestically and in the major international markets on July 17, 2009. The announcement was made by Alan Horn, President and Chief Operating Officer, Warner Bros.

In making the announcement, Mr. Horn stated, “Our reasons for shifting ‘Half-Blood Prince’ to summer are twofold: we know the summer season is an ideal window for a family tent pole release, as proven by the success of our last Harry Potter film, which is the second-highest grossing film in the franchise, behind only the first installment. Additionally, like every other studio, we are still feeling the repercussions of the writers’ strike, which impacted the readiness of scripts for other films—changing the competitive landscape for 2009 and offering new windows of opportunity that we wanted to take advantage of. We agreed the best strategy was to move ‘Half-Blood Prince’ to July, where it perfectly fills the gap for a major tent pole release for mid-summer.”

Jeff Robinov, President of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, confirmed, “The release date change does not alter the production schedule for this or future Harry Potter films. Post-production on ‘Half-Blood Prince’ was completed on time, and the studio’s release plans for the two-part ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ will not be affected by this change. We know Harry Potter fans are eagerly anticipating seeing the final chapters unfold onscreen. In fact, the good news for them is that the gap will now be shortened between ‘Half-Blood Prince’ and the first part of ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.’”

Commenting on the release date change for “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” David Heyman, the producer of all the Harry Potter films, offered, “When Jeff Robinov explained the rationale behind moving the release date of ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’ to July 2009, it was immediately apparent that this offered us the potential to reach the widest possible audience. Need I elaborate more? Among the remaining hopefuls, these three can really express singing prowess, exceptional talent, and hype performance. Star material is not only based on looks, so the viewing public should vote for these three.

THOUGHTS

Last performance night - same old crap on the show. Lights, editing, audio failures. I'm glad they're really jumping to finale already by next week. I can't stand this anymore. Next season should be done a lot better GMA.

The judges said their final appeal to the audience. Hope it works for tomorrow's elimination results.

So that was the greatest "Idol" performance of the final 5? Well, it was boring. Only Kid wowed me - except for that falsetto.
