Take Your Time

The Traffic Jam.

To my dismay, I was almost late for class early this morning. It was really, really close! My efforts of sleeping and waking up early did not pay off that well. I know, I really cannot control father time – but the hell, the traffic jam at Alabang, Magallanes, and Taft are the 3 main reasons why I almost got late for school. Every vehicle took their time on spending it with that busy street; it was like no one’s in a big hurry! Hello?! Damn.

The Thesis Seminar.

It was abruptly postponed on its first minutes due to power failure. We spent a couple of minutes waiting and waiting for the power to come back – but we were lucky enough. The seminar orientation was pursued… good – for if it was not, we are required to come back this coming Thursday for the resume. Meralco took the time to irritate the Manileños, for the power failure was spread not only within Intramuros but with Manila as a whole.

The Thesis.

In order for our batch to produce much better outputs, the college decided to move the dates of the seminars and passing dates of everything about thesis – on an earlier date. It was an unexpected announcement! For the previous batches, they were asked to submit their Chapter 1’s on November, but for our case, in order to produce much better outputs, they re-scheduled it to August – that’s almost 1 and a half month away! Damn! They want us to take the remaining time on deciding who’s on the group, what’s to be proposed as a topic, and when’s the time our sanity would get cracked. The pressure is really on.

The Drama.

Supposedly, this would be our first meeting on our Drama class. Unfortunately, she was very late. Though I admire her teaching capabilities, she still let the class wait for 1 and a half hour – considering that that time span is already considered as the class is dismissed. The professor took her time on talking with her colleagues. But ok, she promised she won’t be late anymore. Forgiven. By the way, it is a 5:30 to 8:30 PM class.

The Bus.

We were dismissed early, around 7:30 I think. But since I am already an expert regarding the schedules of the roving bus from Alabang to Lawton, I have concluded for myself [c’mon...] that there’s no more available ride at 8:00 PM in Park n’ Ride, Lawton – considering the walk from GL 5th floor of PLM up to Lawton is almost 30 minutes. So, when I immediately saw an air conditioned Alps bus, I suddenly waved goodbye to my friends and rode the bus at the Mapua exit of Intramuros. I sat at the back seat at around 8:00 PM, and slept. I awoke at around 9:00 PM, and the bus hasn’t moved an inch since I remember sitting on my seat. So I was a bit furious, and then it started to move at around 9:30 already. The driver and some of his friends took the time watching a DVD movie entitled Leon Guerrero [the hell I care with that crap..], finished it, then decided to leave that damn spot. Very, very good.

The weirdest thing…

First day of the week – the official and regular class begins.

I was used to wear my “porma” clothes whenever I attend my PR class for the past two semesters [coz we have 3 PR subjects to take up..], but that was changed now. On the previous semesters, we conduct the class every Saturdays, PLM’s wash day. For this sem rather, we are to attend the class every Monday – first day of the week, first nosebleed day of the week, and first challenging day of the week.

Nonetheless, I still look forward on attending it, for I know that every meeting is worth an experience of learning and unlearning – thanks to my beloved professor, Prof. Roel S. Ramirez.

On the contrary, what bothers me is the subject next to it on the following day – Radio and Television Production. I would be a hypocrite if I would not say that the reason behind my anxiety is the professor herself [the D-E-A-N of the College of Mass Communication, Ms. Gemma Dela Cruz..], but to add more tension onto it – it starts at 9:00 AM. Let me reiterate – STARTS at 9:00 AM. Insomniac here, remember? Good luck to me.. :P

And so, I have come up with a solution:

Every Monday night is a puyat-free night. So help me God.

And yes, the weirdest thing that I would do since I-don’t-know-when starts now..

Good Night!

Another first, huh..?

Ready to take the next step…

Finally, since classes formally started last June 14 [or should I say, early practice days last June 12..], today’s the first rest day I’ve had for the past 2 weeks.

And since it’s a rest day – I bored myself. But note, I did not bore myself to death. I just did my favorite everyday routine last summer: woke up late, ate lunch late, stared at nowhere for a couple of hours while at our sari-sari store, ate whatever I want [hehe..], and the finale – PC  mode!

I actually thought I would be bored as well tonight though I’m in front of my beloved PC. I did the usual, checked my Friendster and Multiply accounts, my e-mails, and that’s it. Oh wait, I played DotA [I tried using Bristleback this time.. ;-)] and surfed some blog sites. When the time came were I can’t think of anything to do next, I browsed my installed programs here, and then I saw it, in front of my very eyes, waiting as if it wants to be noticed – Adobe Premiere Pro.

Frankly, I haven’t tried doing some video/audio outputs on that, for I am not so familiar with its environment – yet.

After a couple of hours discovering the treasures of this oh-so-good program, I have finally produced a finished product – my first-ever masterpiece out of Adobe Premiere Pro!

Am so proud of myself! Damn me! Wahahahahahahaha.. *evil laugh*

And yes, I think I am very READY to take the NEXT step.

Check it out by clicking here.

Well, well, well…

Well, I wasn’t able to blog last night due to some “enjoyable” school stuff! :P

Well, here I am again, typing not-so-nonsense about what had happened on me this day.

Well, to cut the story short, I slept at around 4:00 AM already and awoke past 12:00 PM – you know the reason, up there, first paragraph, first sentence. :P

Well, I have only 1 subject every Saturday; it is Desktop Publishing, 5:30 to 8:30 PM. Talk about time huh? Considering we have a very bubbly and hot professor, the time schedule is nothing to be worried about! Yes, she’s hot – HOT! Let’s not elaborate further [I hope we could have a picture together, hehe…]…

Well, I was a bit late on class today [sigh…]. But I’m proud of my output! Hehe… there’s a glimpse down below…

Well, gotta go! :P

Research. Chill. Surf.

I have no class for today, but I still woke up early [a bit…] this morning to go to Ortigas. Admittedly, I am not familiar with the place, though I’ve heard so much about it already and have been there a couple of times or so – yet, I still admit that I am really a stupid commuter [haha…]. Our meeting place was at Robinson’s Galleria, and to my surprise, I was the first one to arrive there! Isa ako sa mga nag-bukas ng Robinson’s Galleria – kasama si Seph! Wahehe! For the record, I rode the bus from Alabang around 9:10 AM and I got there 10 minutes before 10:00 AM. Amazing isn’t it? ^^

The real reason of going there was to visit and research at the Ortigas Foundation Library. Lucky us – me, Seph, and Lex –, we found the place easily. Though we got there early, we were not accommodated immediately because the librarian was on an on-going meeting. Oh, let’s skip the crap! Haha! We researched there and chilled to our bones! Damn the super-duper cool air conditioners! :P

Before going home, I dropped by at Festival Supermall to do what I’ve missed doing: window shop and watch a movie alone. Yes, I love watching movies alone. And this time, I itched for Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. I did a review of it, if you haven’t checked it out yet, here’s the link.

If you’re still not convinced, here’s some proof. Bye for now. ^^

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer

Rating:★★★
Category:Movies
Genre: Action & Adventure
Compared to the debut film of this comic-inspired flick, Rise of the Silver Surfer is much thrilling, action-packed, and funnier at some spots.

Special effects never fail to impress movie-goers, but as always, there is an exception to the rule: Mr. Fantastic’s rubber-ish power is still not smoothly done in this film, even in the previous one.

Story-wise, it was good enough for comic freaks. But I guess the crown for team work of super heroes on flicks still goes to X-Men 3: The Last Stand.

By the way, I could’ve given this a 4-star rate if not for the dancing of Mr. Fantastic. So cheap…

Trip to Ortigas Foundation Library

Of course, the day wouldn't be complete without cam-whoring! Wahehe! :P

To the moons(?) and BACK!

And now I’m back – not so fresh from the bin.

I have been away on my blog diaries for the whole summer vacation, for the simple reason that I want to have time for myself – A LOT OF TIME. Not even a shadow or a glimpse of anything related to school, from notebooks to classmates (sorry guys, hehe… now you know… :P). But of course, there were exceptions. ;-)

Actually, I’m not yet writing here what I’ve been doing, where I’ve been, and what I’ve been through these past 2 months of summer vacation. Maybe I’ll get back to that one of these coming nights.

For the meantime, this post is an assurance that

Varian is back on the blog world!

Whether you like it or not!

Mini-vacation at Nasugbu, Batangas last April 21-22, 2007. Yes, posted only minutes ago, hehe...

Why was I there? Well, I was asked by a cousin to attend her wedding and be one of the male "abays"... I was the one to light the "candle" on the wedding ritual, too bad I wasn't able to really "lit-up" the candle, blame the electric fan!

*Kung mapamahiin ka, alam mo kung bakit ko kailangan i-kwento iyon, huhu..*

The Magic Candle! (My Birthday mini-celebration)

Yes, that f*ckin candle surprised me! Wahaha...
